Description

This wine was aged almost a year in 45% new French oak. It shows its its powerful concentration of cherry-vanilla jam and tobacco, the tannins layered and thick. A smoky element of char permeates the finish. 

Roots, stems and dried leaves make for an earthy entry into this estate appellation wine. Wraparound tannins and oak emphasize a gritty, grainy texture marked by robust cherry ripeness and secondary characteristics of black tea and rose.
