Pezat Bordeaux Blanc Sec 2016 Online Sale

Description
TASTING
This wine is a cut of Sauvignon Blanc (95%) with a touch of Muscadelle, cousin of the Viognier, rare but still native grape in certain parts of Bordeaux. The delicate straw yellow color is favored by the transparency of the bottle. On the nose, it has aromas of citrus fruits, white peaches and a touch of white flowers. A wine that is a typical Sauvignon in style, vivacious and fruity, with a refreshing finish.
TERROIR
The vineyards lie in a mountainous region south of the Dordogne River, en route to Creon, a medieval town. The vines are driven by the Double Guyot system, the secondary branches are removed, the plants are stripped and the bunches are thinned in order to obtain a lower yield.
ELABORATION
The harvest is manual, done at night, and the grapes are transported to the cellar in small boxes. There is little contact with the bark in order to emphasize the fruity character of the wine. A soft pressing and suspension of the lees are made to guarantee the freshness of the wine.
